A sales cadence is a scripted series of touchpoints — emails, calls, texts, social touches — spaced over days or weeks that a rep follows for each prospect. It replaces ad hoc follow-up with a repeatable rhythm, ensuring no lead is touched once and forgotten, since most replies come after several attempts rather than the first.
Cadences specify channel, timing, and message for each step, so performance can be measured and improved touch by touch. The strongest cadences mix channels and personalize the early steps, because a multichannel sequence with relevant messaging consistently outperforms a single-channel blast on reply and meeting-booked rates.
