Suppression List

A master list of addresses and numbers to exclude from every send — opt-outs, bounces, complainers, and do-not-contact records.

A suppression list is the catalog of contacts a sender must skip on every campaign: people who unsubscribed or texted STOP, addresses that hard-bounced, anyone who marked a message as spam, and the do-not-contact records. It is applied as a filter before each send so a removed contact is never accidentally messaged again.

Keeping the suppression list accurate and automatic is both compliance and deliverability hygiene — mailing a suppressed contact invites complaints and legal exposure while signaling sloppy list practices to mailbox providers. Across email, SMS, and phone it is the single source of truth for who is off-limits, fed continuously by opt-outs, unsubscribes, and bounces as they occur.
