Absentee Owner
A property owner whose mailing address differs from the property address — often an out-of-area landlord open to selling.
An absentee owner doesn't live at the property they own — typically an out-of-area or tired landlord. The mailing-vs-property address mismatch is the signal, and it's one of the largest, most workable off-market lead sources.
Motivation is latent rather than acute, so absentee lists are workhorse lists for volume strategies: big universes that reward patient, persistent outreach to surface the sellers who are ready.
